Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Operations Frontline Supervisor at our Carlin operations.
The successful candidate will apply strong leadership to execute the mine plan and improve performance by leading an operations team to deliver safe, environmentally sound and efficient gold production.

Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure daily work requirements are planned and the crew is organized to perform the required work
Conduct daily line out meetings and monthly safety meetings
Positive and effective working relationship with Production, Maintenance, and Support teams.
Ensure that Production has manpower available to meet the production plan by managing manpower effectively
Excellent and demonstrated personal commitment to safety & health – completing one FLRA (field level risk assessment) per week and ensuring any findings are documented and actioned
Provide support to Safety Division through participation in fishbone and taproot exercises and follow up on action plans
Promote a safe and healthy working environment with a high standard of housekeeping.
Focus on “visible felt leadership” by interacting with personnel “in the field” (minimum of 60% of working time)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years mining or industrial type environment in a leadership role required
Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment operation required
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Excellent planning, problem solving, decision making, organizational and interpersonal skills required
Proven safety and environmental leadership through Courageous Leadership and Visible Felt Leadership required
Sound understanding of safety and environment requirements associated with operating as Responsible Miners required
The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
