This is a “4-pole” generator, which means that the engine and generator head spin at only 1,800 RPM, NOT the 3,600 RPM that most cheap gensets spin at.
This means much quieter operation, and vastly increased engine life.
The horizontally-opposed twin-cylinder (“Boxer”) engine also runs with less vibration than a single-cylinder engine.
In good condition.
If the hour meter in the motorhome’ dashboard is correct, it has only 178 hours run time on it.
I will be removing the genny from the back bay on the motorhome soon, hopefully, and cleaning and testing it.
It is an Onan model 4.
