I'm not certain what its original intended purpose was,
but the best guess seems to be microphone or electric guitar pickup cable.
This vintage / antique cable is sold in 25-foot length increments,
with a 25-foot minimum purchase.

I will cut the length you order from the spool I have on hand,
so you'll get a single long cable of that length.

It is obviously QUITE old (many decades, perhaps).
What I can tell from examining this cable:

The cable is foil-shielded, and has two insulated conductors within the shield,
plus a bare ground wire, as well.
All three wires appear to be made of tinned copper, as they show a copper color in their cores when cut.
The conductors' insulation are colored black and a translucent white.
There are no noticeable markings on the outer insulation.
As far as I can tell by measuring the OD of the conductors,
they are about 24 gauge (AWG)

This would be a cross-sectional area of about .
205 square millimeters.
The insulation is a bit dirty and scuffed, in places, due to long-term storage on the spool.
The insulation is still soft and pliable, not "sticky" at all.
