Position Description:

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Open Pit Engineering Technician at our Turquoise Ridge operation.
As part of the Turquoise Ridge Open Pit team, the successful candidate will be results centric, adding to our already challenging yet rewarding working environment supporting our mining operations.

Responsibilities:
Installing geotechnical monitoring equipment in active mining areas.
Surveying/Collecting geotechnical data
Maintain operation of site wide geotechnical monitoring equipment with the support of vendor technicians
Maintaining inventory of required supplies
Adhering to QA/QC protocols
Assist geotechnical engineering staff
Qualifications:
Excellent safety record required
Ability to work within a team environment required
Possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
Ability to complete task with limited supervision required
Minimum of two years’ experience in underground, open pit mine operations or exploration preferred
Familiarity with various Microsoft software preferred
Familiarity with Vulcan, PointStudio, and other software packages preferred
