As the RN circulator, you manage all necessary care inside the operating or procedure rooms for all patient populations.
The RN circulator works collaboratively with all members of the surgical team and is responsible for planning and performing all aspects of perioperative nursing care from assessment, planning, implementation to outcome evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
Acts as an advocate for the patient before, during and after surgery.
Ensures all aspects of key surgery safety checks are completed prior to and throughout the procedure/surgery.
Works collaboratively with other surgical team members to ensure appropriate equipment, trays, supplies are available for the assigned case and in good working order.
Develops and executes an individualized peri-operative patient plan of care.
Performs interventions to maintain patient stability and surgical site care.
Communicates with patient and/or designated support person to ensure the procedure, risks, benefits, peri- and post-operative plan of care and rehabilitation are well-understood, and that the patient is involved in decisions impacting care and recovery.
Accurate, complete, and legible documentation of surgical process, including preoperative nursing care.
Identifies and reports patient safety concerns, actual events or near misses through the safety reporting system, as well as to the OR Charge RN or CNO.
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
Promotes and role models collegial, collaborative relationships with all members of the interprofessional team.
Provides age-specific, culturally competent, ethical care within legal standards of practice.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
A current, unrestricted license as an RN in the state of Nevada
A nursing diploma, associate’s or undergraduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing
At least 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing practice as a circulator preferred.
A minimum of two years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, such as a surgical unit, ICU or ERCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
A patient-focused, team-oriented attitude and a passion for surgical nursing
Your ability to remain calm and critically think/problem solve during urgent, or crisis situations.
Your ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
A willingness to learn
Proficiency in MS Office
