Benefits
This is a part time position, averaging 20 hours per week, requiring the person to be in
the NOS office or at NOS outdoor programming most of that time.
Employee is subject
to all policies and procedures currently in place by NOS including the holiday and
personal time off policy.

benefits.
Elko Administrative and Outreach Assistant will:
Report directly to NOS Elko Director of Programming
Always strive to uphold NOS Mission and Core Values and maintain strong
relationship with other NOS team members
Treat all NOS electronic and financial data with utmost confidentiality
Continuously monitor integrity and accuracy of Elko Office administrative,
maintenance and financial records to be audit ready at any time
Maintain and administer the needs of the NOS Elko Office
Obtain office and program supplies as needed for all Elko Office departments
Check office voicemail and relay messages.
Filing of office documents, participant agreements, pre and post surveys and
medical history forms
Organizing & restocking of Elko office, program and camping equipment and
materials, assist in preparing program supplies (such as shopping or laminating
materials)
Assist in submitting expected expenses for Elko Office monthly to NOS Director
of Finance by the 15th of each month for the following month
Submit all expense receipts to NOS Director of Finance within 5 business days
Maintain records and schedule for office and vehicle maintenance, copy & submit
vehicle logs monthly
Assist in tracking actual spending versus program budgets
Updating Elko programming calendar, adding participant and teacher emails to
mailchimp lists
Entering participant data to NOS data worksheet
Act as NOS AmeriCorps service resource in absence of NOS Director of
Programming
Occasionally participate and assist in NOS events and program activities as
necessary
Perform other general office duties as needed with the ability to multi-task
Attend various outreach and recruiting events on behalf of Nevada Outdoor
School
Record video and take photos of NOS programs and edit as necessary, organize
and reviewing photos for NOS Flickr page
Attend various outreach and recruiting events to promote NOS and the
AmeriCorps Program, sometimes after regular business hours and on weekends
Reviewing and editing NOS blog and articles written by AmeriCorps Members or
Director of Programming before publishing
Attend training workshops and conferences
Attend professional development opportunities to increase job related skills and
experience.
These are training opportunities paid for by NOS.
Skills/Experience Desired:
At least 2 years’ experience with administrative management
Basic clerical skills: maintain schedules and calendars, record keeping,
answering phones, filing documents, etc.
Experience in public speaking
Experience with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Power Point,
Publisher, etc.
Solid work ethic
Willingness to be flexible
Good organizational and communication skills
Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.
00 per hour
